Year 6 spring half term review

This half term, year six had several topics in Maths and Language, our Topic work, however, has stayed the same all through half term, Year six’s Language topic, to begin with, was biographies and autobiographies, Maths was coordinates and mode, mean, median and range. The topic work throughout the term was world war two. Owain thought the WW2 topic wasn’t too exciting, James however, thought it was most interesting. Our first trip of the Half Term was a trip to Stockport to role-play being evacuees, we even had evacuee style “rations” (lunch.) Our class reading book is a book called “Goodnight Mr Tom” a WW2 style book based on a young evacuee named Willie settling into his new family of Thomas Oakleyand his dog, Sammy. After excelling through our Maths topic, we have moved onto dividing decimal numbers.
