Mr Coppack welcomes you to Year 3’s class page. Here you will find useful information about Year Three, including our current topics and recent news. New Curriculum 

This year Wales is following a new curriculum which is formed of the foundation phase, national curriculum, the literacy and numeracy framework.

There are six areas of learning: Expressive Arts, Health and Wellbeing, Humanities, Languages Literacy, Mathematics and Numeracy, Science and Technology.

At the start of each topic the children will be given the opportunity to discuss what they would like to learn and planning will include these ideas. There will also be an increased focus on outdoor learning.

Our topic for the Autumn Term is 'People Fron the Past'

Spellings & Homework

Spelling tests will take place on Friday mornings. Spelling lists for the whole half-term can be found on Google Classroom.

The homework is now available as a file to download from our Google Classroom page. Children will be given the chance to share their homwork on the board with the class and verbal feedback will be given from the class teacher.

PE Days

In Year 3 our P.E. days are Wednesday and Friday. The pupils are allowed to come to school wearing sports kit on these days instead of school uniform.
