Nursery & Reception / Meithrin a Derbyn 2025 - 2026

In Nursery and Reception, your child will to learn through the Curriculum for Wales. The six areas of learning are:

• Language, Literacy and Communication
• Mathematics and Numeracy
• Health and Well-Being
• Expressive Arts
• Humanities
• Science and Technology

The children develop these areas of learning through directed activities in class, as well as completing more independent activities in our provision areas, both indoors and outdoors. In the new curriculum the children are taking more responsibility for their own learning through sharing their ideas and contributing to the planning of activities.
