Nursery 2019 - 2020
Hello and welcome to Nursery!
My name is Miss Redmond and I am currently standing in for Mrs Last as the Class teacher. Myself, Mrs Thomas and Mrs Atkins welcome you to our class page.
Here you will find information regarding our current topics, recent activities the children have taken part in and upcoming events taking place in School. Keep a look out for recent newsletters which will be updated regularly to keep you informed.
Most of the children are now able to put their coats on by themselves. We are still encouraging them to zip or button up their coats and be more independent in doing so. We have also been talking about being kind to others whilst in school and using our 'kind hands'. We would be grateful if you could reinforce this at home with your child.
As always, if you have any questions, queries or concerns, please do not hesistate to contact one of the team. We are excited to see the children through their Nursery journey.
Summer Term 2020
What a different term this is going to be. I hope you are all well and coping with the distance learning tasks. Remember they are just suggestions and there is no pressure for you to complete them all. Just do what you can and try your best. You can access this work either here on the school website under the 'distance learning tab' or on Google Classroom. It is up to you how you do the work.
It is essential that we all look after our mental health and wellbeing during these times. We must take time to enjoy the outdoors safely and get our daily exercise as recommended by the Government. Hopefully the good weather will continue so this can happen. It is also good to keep your mind focussed with mindfulness activities such as colouring, drawing or reading a story together. Enjoying family time is just as important!
Our topic this term is Minibeasts. This is a very popular topic with the children as it is very practical and allows them to explore the outdoors! I am sure they have already started to bring bugs inside the house to show you (apologies in advance)! Feel free to explore the topic if your child has a particular interest in something and have fun with it!
Please see the summer term newsletter below.
Stay safe Nursery and thank you for your continued support.
